It's been too long and I have alot to say.

The shows over spring break went really well. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported me as I tore my trachea. I had a blast.

Second of all we are heading out for a summer tour (see dates below). If you can help in any way feel obligated to contact us at calculator2012@gmail.com We are still working out transportation and booking!

Lastly, we aren't doing the four way split anymore due to the fact that we didn't have a chance to record over the break (see: torn trachea). That being said we will be working full force to write material for a full length.

Besides tour we are in the planning stages for two bay area show in late May, should be good.

Pre Orders are still happening, but we currently have no idea when they are coming in. We were told mid-Jan, but that's starting to look like Feb to me. The good thing is that gives me more time to screen the 100 pre order Cds, finish stapling booklets, and get ready for the future.

Talking about the future. We are happy to say that we will be apart of the Enough is Enough Comp in support of gay marriage and equality. Check it out

Were all going back to school; that means hibernation. We are planning on finishing a few new songs and recording them around spring time. Well play a few shows, but not many. The then finished product is most likely going to appear on a 4-way split of some sorts with мища, Deers!, and others.

As for summer, we will be playing shows and supporting the lp. News on that will surface sometime soon.

proud to announce that we are playing a show on october 10th, 2009 with Dangers, Comadre, and Colorchromatic. i hope everyone comes out to this show. Not only for us, every single band on this show is amazing. If you havent ehard them, then please check them out. (thats what the links are for)

twelve inch compilation el pee

after abandoning our plans for a seven inch due to time constraints we are planning to release a twelve inch compilation LP in the winter. This LP will include all of our old records (splits, eps, demos) and a few new and unreleased songs. It will be packaged with a download code and a poster with all artwork done by juan from comadre. We are really looking forward to this release and will let everyone know more once we know. We will most likely go on a tour to support it. there will be a preorder when everything is sorted out.

today we finished recording all of our 6 new songs. the moldar/calculator split (which will have three new songs on it) will be released on june 19th at the show we have at jeffs house. We also just received our shirts that can be bought online here or at any upcoming show. We will also be giving out buttons and selling represses of our first EP Arguments for one dollar. thanks for the support!

Calculator. aren't an entirely easy band to categorize or describe. They've got a sound that's clearly inspired by early screamo acts, but it's not nearly as abrasive or discordant, closer resembling the type of subtly dynamic post-hardcore Thursday was doing early on and On the Might of Princes tried later in their tenure. I want to say that Arguments resides somewhere between an elder like Neil Perry and a peer like L'antietam, but they're way less hostile than the former and really only relate to the latter's more relaxed moments. Their guitars will occasionally have a semi-spazzy jangle, but there's so much restraint the band clearly make their own. Their vocals are hoarsely sung with a raw coating, but things never spiral into a truly desperate, depressing hole. Consequently, as aforementioned there's sort of a Waiting-era Thursday vibe here, though hardly as emotionally bare and blessed with a much better recording. "FriendsLikePaddles" is both the best example of these traits and the best track on this EP, winding down with some group vocals that definitely have some camraderie about them, while "Presence" dances along with a strangely upbeat feel. "Memorial" has a distinct moment where their vocalist shouts "Explosions / in / the sky!" and you sort of just want to say "yes, good band." Arguments shows a lot of potential, as Calculator. provide a somehow familiar yet unique sound that, while does need some more development, has a very solid foundation to work upon.

today we started recording new songs. we banged em ot pretty quick and will be finishing em all up on the 13th and 14th.

Thank you to all that came out last night to the show. Thanks to all the bands and everyone who stuck around to watch us. We will be playing again this sat at the Hickey Underworld with Loma Prieta and Touche Amore so come out! Shirts are on the way! buttons are already here! and splits/7' are in the making.

hey there everyone.

we have about seven (7) new songs that are yet to be recorded and we are officially releasing a split with moldar (4 songs) and we are working out a split 7 with colorchromatic (2 songs). we are super stoked for what the future holds in terms of our band and hope you are too.

we have ordered shirts and they are well on there way. We should have them before tour. the sooner the better!

we have buttons. get them at the next show (s).
btw come out to as many shows as you can. we don't have that many LA shows left before college (we will rarely play). so please come see us while you can!
were playing a bunch of shows that will be amazing (touche/loma prieta!, My heart to joy!, forming/simple machines!), so check the listings!

we will play a sort of calculator finale, if you must, although we are not breaking up the band will slow down because of college and such. At that show we hope to have a compiled disc of all the recordings we have ever done. this means all the shitty ones that you may or may not have heard up to the new ones that will be on the new releases. We are looking to do a rad CD--7 in---shirt---buttons all in one deal for one great (yet to be determined) price.

today was begun the the carefully administered AP Gov test, then band practice. We managed to write some new material and are working on recording 7 songs at the Watermark in downtown late may.
